‘The leading UK event focusing on the design of mental health facilities’
An innovative nursing app called Care Clox has been shortlisted for a third national award.
The app, created by University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust, was developed by the ICT System Development team in partnership with nursing colleagues.
It has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Nursing Technology’ category of the 2017 ehi Awards which recognise innovation and achievements in healthcare technology.
The Care Clox app tracks the amount of time nurses and other frontline staff spend on tasks, to help them make sure they are spending as much time as possible on patient care, and to improve efficiency.
Nina Fraser, chief nursing officer, said: “The Care Clox app is a really innovative tool that helps us to improve the way we care for our patients.
“A lot of hard work has gone into the app, and we would be so delighted if we were to win this award. However, win or lose, I’m really proud that the nursing and ICT teams who developed the app are continuing to get national recognition for their achievements.”
