Active investment for a better quality of life!

BYD Solutions Ltd was formed in 2011, we are a family run business, with the directors having a combined 60 year’s experience in the construction industry, all having worked initially for main contractors.

BYD always strive and invest in new innovative solutions for the modern day. We ensure that the sealants we use are the very best and ensure that quality products are used on any on our construction sites. With our anti-slip we work very closely with our chemist so we use the very latest formulation in anti-slip resins. With our newest division we have the opportunity to provide revolutionary new solutions to clean internal air and provide anti-bacterially clean surfaces, BYD being the only company in the UK to offer this service.

Clean Air:

We have several solutions for internal clean air: COVPLUS® & BACPLUS®

COVPLUS®: This solution will be favoured to treat polluted surroundings, whose origin of contamination is hydrophobic.,

The BACPLUS® solution differs from the COVPLUS® solution in that it incorporates a non-nanoparticulate associated biocide that optimizes the neutralization of microbial pollutants. This solution will be favoured to treat polluted environment, whose origin of the contaminations is hydrophilic.

COVPLUS® features

  • Application by micro-spraying using a HVLP (High Volume, Low Pressure) device, especially on ceilings without long operating shutdown.
  • Transparent product, odourless, colourless.
  • Solution suitable for the decontamination of volatile organic air pollutants (VOCs).
  • Allows the decomposition of odour molecules and microbial agents in respect of the environment.
  • Treatment creating an amplified exchange surface.
  • Active and perennial product, from application.

BACPLUS® Features

  • Application by micro-spraying using a HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) device, especially on ceilings without long operating shutdown.
  • Transparent product, odourless, colourless.
  • Solution adapted to aerobic microbial decontamination.
  • Allows the decomposition of odour molecules and microbial agents in respect of the environment.
  • Treatment creating an amplified exchange surface.
  • Active and perennial product, from application.

Although our head office is based in the south of England we can cover the whole of the UK and further afield if required for this service.

Anti-Bacterial Coatings:

In addition to these products we also offer CERTIBAC®

The control of hygiene is a real public health issue, particularly in the fight against nosocomial infections that every year kill more than 7000 people in France. The transfer of microorganisms is essentially by tactile contact being conveyed by the surfaces.

Dexpert proposes a solution which allows to act durably and effectively against these contaminations.

The CERTIBAC® matrix is a translucent surface treatment in the form of a varnish applied by micro-spraying using a HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) device and then UV cured.  It has a permanent and lasting antimicrobial performance thanks to a natural biocide associated (Colloidal Silver non nanoparticular). This multi-support matrix is a film-forming coating resistant to abrasion and chemical attack and its highly closed structure prevents the penetration of acidic and alkaline liquids.

The microbial agents are destroyed on contact with this matrix as soon as their growth phase is activated.
This coating emits nothing in the air (no VOC emission) and presents no danger; it complies with food contact within the meaning of EU Regulation 10/2011 and its amendments under the conditions tested.

CERTIBAC® has been tested according to the ISO 22196 standard by the COFRAC approved ACM Pharma laboratory.

In order to demonstrate the antimicrobial efficacy, various tests were carried out on a conventional plastic support treated with CERTIBAC ® and at different contact times (24 hours included) for the Escherichia coli strain, at a single contact time of 24 hours for the strains. Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus hirae and Candida albicans. Each test was performed in triplicate on a reference matrix treated with CERTIBAC®.

The results observed for the Escherichia coli strain on a conventional plastic substrate treated with CERTIBAC® demonstrate the proof of the Inverse Hygiene Concept (CHI) and the efficiency of the process insofar as logarithmic reductions are very significant (greater than 5 log) have been obtained reproducibly in at least 3 different tests.

CERTIBAC® Features:

  • Immediate implementation ensuring rapid and significant reduction of bacterial contamination.
  • Requires no maintenance or energy consumption.
  • Allows a significant reduction of the microbial agents present on the treated surfaces, thus creating pandemic barriers.
  • Also has a coating resistant to abrasion and perennial over several years.
  • Treatment that acts permanently and facilitates cleaning '' easy to clean ''.
  • Application of the treatment requiring no prior work on surfaces, CERTIBAC® is translucent and dries immediately under UV.
  • High performance protection against stains, resistant to chemical agents.
  • Process that does not release VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds).

Anti-Slip Solutions:

Our anti-slip division has been part of  BYD since the beginning. Our Directors have been involved in anti-slip for many years even before BYD started. From the very early days in anti-slip our directors always worked closely with the chemists / inventors and still do to this day. This ensures that we have full backing for any applications we carry out and can get technical advice should it be required.

We offer various anti-slip solutions whether its large floor coverings, ramps or basic paint lining for step treads. We also offer our specialist service in anti-slip visual lining. The product we use has been developed over many years and is still improving to this day. This product called Profi-Grip can be applied to virtually any surface including natural stone, terrazzo, ceramic, porcelain, glazed tiles, metal, glass and wood surfaces. Providing a reliable, long-lasting, slip-resistant visual profile. Being a gun applied product means the application layouts can be varied. We have recently just launched a new colour option. We now can provide a perfectly  white finish or yellow finish which then illuminates in the dark.

This division offers services to:

  • Visual lining to meet building regulations
  • High end applications solutions for internal & external staircases
  • Anti-slip coatings to large areas
  • 12 standard colours available
  • All other RAL options available on request
  • White / Yellow luminous options available, will last up to 12 hours in dark
  • Coating for ramps & large areas
  • Anti-slip paints
