Digital Health AI & Data 2023 conference: The new event dedicated to harnessing the power of data to improve health and care for all.
 
A data-driven revolution is gathering pace across healthcare, spanning health providers, life sciences, researchers and start-ups. Allying the explosion of health data with transformational AI and analytics tools, techniques and capabilities, the future of healthcare is being reshaped at phenomenal speed.  

A new event for a new era  

Digital Health, the sector’s leading publisher and event organiser, has launched a new conference and exhibition dedicated to exploring latest developments in the use of AI, data science and analytics across health and care: Digital Health AI & Data.  

The dedicated new two-day conference takes place 30-31 October 2023 at London's Business Design Centre. It will bring together health professionals, researchers, analysts, data scientists, start-ups, for educational sessions and best practice case studies the latest and best examples of data science, AI and analytics in action across UK healthcare.

The exciting new event features two exclusive conference stages - one centred around AI and analytics, the other dedicated to data and research. There will also be two exciting feature zones showcasing the best AI start-ups and innovations in health data research.  

The conference programme will include a mix of NHS case studies spanning AI, data, and analytics, together with key health data research initiatives linking NHS organisations, universities, research bodies and life sciences companies.   

AI & Data will also include a dedicated stage to showcase the best digital health start-ups from Digital Health’s annual Pitchfest competition, who are using AI tools and data to disrupt health and care.      

Meet the headliners  

Confirmed keynotes include national leaders from NHS England Ming Tang, NHS England's Chief data and analytics officer and Dominic Cushnan director AI, imaging & deployment. Ming will share the latest developments in the NHS’ national data strategy and ensuring the NHS harnesses data for the benefit of all patients whilst Dominic will explore the potential and key challenges of safely introducing clinical AI applications.  

Former McKinsey executive and AI specialist Chris Wigley, CEO of Genomics England will share his views on the role of secure research environments – central to the NHS’ Data Saves Lives strategy – for transforming NHS services and power life-saving research and treatments. Chris leads the remarkable work of Genomics England in advancing genomic medicine to help NHS doctors and clinicians diagnose, treat and prevent illnesses, like rare diseases and cancer.  

Over 150 expert speakers  

AI & Data will feature over 150 speakers exploring the multi-faceted data-driven digital health revolution that is fast re-shaping health and care.

Two experts at the heart of the fast-evolving field of clinical safety will explore the latest developments in regulatory and ethical frameworks for the safe and ethical use of AI applications in the NHS.

Clíodhna Ní Ghuidhir of NICE’s AI and Digital Regulations Service, who offers advice and support on regulation and health technology assessment to developers and adopters. Her impressive career spans work on national innovation programmes, including real-world evaluation and the NHS Test Beds programme. She also led the development of the NHS’ Innovation Service.

Clíodhna will be joined by Robin Carpenter who leads the governance and ethics for the AI Centre for Value Based Healthcare. The centre is a collaboration between NHS trusts, universities and industry partners which trains sophisticated AI algorithms from NHS medical images and patient data to improve diagnosis and care, with several AI projects currently live.  

Dr Nadine Hachach-Haram, Founder and CEO of Proxime, who is on a mission to digitalise the world's operating rooms, has been also confirmed as a keynote for Digital Health AI and Data 2023.

As a former surgeon Dr Hachach-Haram drew on her passion for innovation and her clinical experiences to build Proximie, a company she founded in 2016. Proximie helps hospitals, surgeons and medical devices share information from anywhere using their OR data, to improve outcomes and productivity and generate important new insights.   

Other speakers confirmed to be joining AI & Data event are Ahmeet Bakhai, Director Clinical Research at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, Harris Shuaib, Head of the Clinical Scientific Computing section at Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, Raghib Ali, Chief Medical Officer and Joint Chief Investigator Our Future Health and Ross O’Brien, Managing Director, Wysa.
