Danubius Hotel Regents Park is a flagship property for the Danubius Hotels Group, a family owned and managed international business based in Hungary. The Group is highly regarded for world class health and wellness resorts as well as business hotels in central and eastern Europe.
Thriving on innovation as the base for an ambitious vision, it was only a matter of time before we ventured into western Europe.
The first of its kind in the United Kingdom, Danubius Hotel Regents Park is an independent 4 star hotel established in 2005. The location at 18 Lodge road in St. John’s Wood has an interesting history and passed through a variety of hands since 1972, before becoming a Danubius Hotel.
The hotel is located directly opposite the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground and the magnificent Regent’s Park, within walking distance from Madame Tussaud’s wax museum, London Zoo, the world-famous Abbey Road Studios and the West End. The nearest underground stations are St. John’s Wood and Baker Street, while Paddington railway station is a 20 minutes' tube ride away, providing direct links to Heathrow, Stansted and Luton airports.
As a hotel we are undergoing a full transformation with a new management team and business strategy. We have a very busy and exciting couple of years ahead of us. We are planning to relaunch our refurbished meeting rooms in September 2019, and we are also carrying out extensive refurbishment of our bedrooms.

We take pride in our cricket ties and relationships with cricketers who have stayed with us, which has led to us naming our meeting rooms after many famous ones, including Tom Graveney, Denis Compton, John Berry Hobbs, William Gilbert Grace, Ken Barrington and Fred Trueman.
The Trueman Suite meeting room was inaugurated in 2017 with a speech from the famous ex-BBC commentator Peter Baxter, in the presence of the Trueman family.

We offer 10 newly refurbished meeting rooms with natural daylight, the latest audio visual equipment including smart TV and table-top power sockets, and “Good Food for Me”, a catering selection which includes a broad range of options to keep your event participants’ minds fresh and meet their individual needs. We let the event planner create a customised mix of coffee and lunch break food and drinks from a list we provide, or we can take care of everything, making the event planner’s life easier by having our experienced event specialists compose the menus for you and even put together an assortment of dishes appropriate for those who have special dietary requirements.

This year January 2nd welcomed the launch of our new restaurant menu, the start of an exquisite style of foods that will flatter your taste buds.
In fact, we are delighted to announce that we have recently employed a new executive head chef, Vivek Wadhawan, who launched the famous chef Marco-Pierre White’s restaurant at the Hilton Hotel.
He says: “As a child, much of my time was spent in the kitchen with my mother. I had a thousand questions about every wonderful dish she created. Looking back over 20 years as a professional chef so far, it seems I felt a calling to explore the Culinary Arts from early on.
Learning from great chefs, I always enjoyed exploring new techniques and flavours. My career with world class brands such as Radisson, Hallmark and Hilton taught me much.
Respect for your ingredients, their seasonality and what they have to offer in flavour, texture and nutrition are the foundation for great food. This is reflected in my signature dish of pan seared duck breast with sweet potato fondant, shallot puree and confit leek, served with juniper berry juice.
In winter we have on the menu a very popular steak and ale pie with roasted root vegetables to keep our customers warm.
I believe that eating well is vital to living well. Through creativity and discipline, passionate chefs are curators of humanity’s well-being.”
