GS1 UK
Product Feature

GS1 UK is one of 116 independent GS1 standards organisations operating worldwide.

In healthcare, GS1 standards are used to uniquely identify every person, every product, and every place. This enables products and medical devices to be identified, tracked and traced, through the supply chain to the patient, from the point of manufacture.

Data is commonly captured in a barcode which is scanned at the point of care. And because it is standardised, the data is accurate, consistent, and interoperable. It is this accuracy and standardisation of data that serves to improve patient safety, reduce unwarranted clinical variation, and drive operational efficiencies across industry.
