About Globus Group
With over 25 years of heritage, Globus Group is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of innovative protection solutions for healthcare and industry.
With an international footprint and manufacturing facilities based in England and Scotland, we are providing resilient, sustainable production across the UK.
As a trusted supplier with a proven track record and credentials, Globus Group was awarded contracts with the UK government to supply the NHS when the pandemic hit. Through UK manufacturing, Globus delivered 1 billion face masks, 500 million respirators and 30 million face visors.
Pandemic response
Prior to the COVID-19 crisis, Globus Group had already committed to manufacturing 75% of its healthcare products in the UK. The increased demand for PPE as a result of the pandemic meant that we have been able to accelerate this strategy, and significantly increase our UK production, reducing our global carbon footprint.
The strong and resilient networks and supply chains we have developed since launching two new facilities in Dumfries, Scotland, and Golborne, North West England, in 2020 ensures rapid delivery to our UK customers.
Since the start of the pandemic, we have employed hundreds of highly skilled manufacturing personnel across both sites, producing millions of filtering face masks, medical masks, and visors to protect healthcare professionals. In addition, a further two newly commissioned manufacturing facilities will continue to expand our UK manufacturing capacity and offer more job opportunities for the local community. These new facilities will bring us up to a total of five UK sites, with further sites in development across Europe.
PPE for a Sustainable Future
Our core values include a deep commitment to the long-term welfare of future generations. That means we pledge to ensure our business and operational processes are as economically, environmentally and socially sustainable as possible.
At Globus Group, we are committed to operating as a Greening Company, going further to become a positive contributor to the Paris Agreement goals.

Upcycled Medical is pioneering the recycled textile industry. The company, launched by Linda Ball in 2017, started with the desire to make an environmentally friendly cap in the sports market. To meet the expectations and the requirements of the sports sector they were able to successfully develop a cap with 65% upcycled plastic and 35% organic cotton. After their initial success, they wondered if it would be possible to create a 100% upcycled textile, made from part marine and part landfill plastic, which would put a huge dent in the growing pollution problem.
