Health Business 24.03

Hospitals in London have just been hit by a cyber attack – thought to have been carried out by a Russian criminal gang – with appointments cancelled and teams reverting to paper records.

In other news, Rishi Sunak has unexpectedly announced the general election for the fourth of July. Leaders, both inside and outside of the NHS, are calling for the next government to invest in the NHS, across workforce, buildings and technology.

When it comes to buildings, this issue of Health Business looks at ventilation guidelines and also how effective and appropriate signage is important in hospital buildings. The Contract Flooring Association will also explain how to choose a flooring provider.

Amanda Heaton from Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust explains how the trust has introduced a new system to deal with conflict internally and Stacey Hayes-Allen from Arden University looks at how AI is affecting the skills needed in the healthcare sector.

We'll also take a look at a couple of frameworks that should help with facilities management and staffing.
