The government has announced a pay rise for millions of public sector workers including junior doctors.
Junior doctors are set to receive a 6 per cent rise.
Prime minister Rishi Sunak and Treasury minister John Glen said the recommendations of the pay review bodies had been accepted in full.
The prime minister said the rises would not be funded by more borrowing or raising taxes.
Junior doctors have staged several strikes calling for pay restoration, with the latest taking place whilst this decision was announced.
