At Schneider Digital, you get your optimal medical visualization hardware solution for demanding professional use with the highest system requirements in the areas of 4K/8K, 3D and VR/AR for medical enviroments. With more than 29 years of experience in the professional hardware segment, combined with an innovative product portfolio from leading manufacturers, we design your tailor-made solution for Meeting Rooms and medical workplaces.

A meeting room visualization system as a VR wall in hospitals offers an innovative way to optimize conferences, planning meetings and training sessions. Such systems enable an immersive presentation of information, which is often crucial in a clinical environment. Its goals and benefits:

  • Immersive presentation: A VR wall makes it possible to present information in 3D and life-size. This makes content visually more tangible, which can be crucial for complex topics such as surgery planning, diagnostic discussions or research projects.
  • Efficient communication: In meetings where different departments come together, a VR wall improves communication, as complex issues can be presented clearly and comprehensibly for all participants.
  • Training and simulation: Medical teams can practise complex procedures and run through realistic scenarios. This improves preparation for emergencies and special surgical techniques.
  • Improved diagnostics and planning: Medical teams can use 3D models of patients to plan operations in more detail. This makes it easier to assess risks and select the right technique.
  • Collaborative project processing (co-review), compatible with all software and hardware-based video conferencing systems (TEAMS, ZOOM, Cisco, Polycom, Jabra, etc.)
  • Intuitive touchpad control via tablet PC for convenient use of all VR Wall functions (picture-in-picture, split screen, black screen, still image, etc.)
  • Freestanding, self-supporting construction offers maximum room & location independence
Functionality of the Laser smart VR wall with VR and AR support

The Laser smart VR wall consists of a 5.3m x 2.25m, 6K high-resolution monitor screen with a pixel size of just 0.8 mm, which offers a razor-sharp and interactive display. It can be connected to a VR system so that users can also work with VR goggles or AR devices to gain even deeper insights. The Laser smart VR wall supports plug & play over 400 2D and 3D software applications natively. It can work with data from medical scans (such as MRI or CT) so that medical images can be displayed and analyzed in 3D. By integrating VR and AR technologies, users can even “navigate” through body regions or highlight specific anatomical details. The Laser smart VR-Wall is fully mobile on castors and can be repositioned at any time without major conversion work. Thanks to the front projection technology and a depth of just 75 cm, it takes up very little space.

3D PluraView – The new passive 3D-stereo monitor benchmark for medical applications: Stereoscopic viewing - Virtual Reality with the 3D PluraView monitor

Volumetric 3D images and models are of increasing importance in the medical sector. The high-resolution 3D PluraView stereo monitors from Schneider Digital are a perfect fit for the 3D-stereo display of medical data, especially from CT and MRI scanners. In contrast to other 2D and 3D desktop monitors, the PluraView have dual screens with passive beam-splitter technology to provide a realistic stereo 3D experience, comparable to a highly detailed holographic display. Combined with medical software and a suitable graphics card in a tower or laptop workstation, the PluraView stereo monitors provide a turnkey 3D workplace solution for the medical sector for viewing and analyzing volumetric medical data conveniently and efficiently, while presenting it at maximum resolution and flicker-free, even in daylight office conditions.

Some typical medical applications of the 3D PluraView monitor are Surgery planning and preparation, 3D computer tomography, 3D imaging (X-ray, CT, MRI), Medical 3D printing, analysis of ultrasound visual medical data and Education & training of medical staffs.

Using 3D imaging and VR interaction at a glance:

  • Quick insight and better understanding of medical details
  • More precise and comprehensive analyses and therefore better diagnoses
  • Better trained and prepared staff, e.g. in surgery planning or medical training
  • A clear view when “touching” models with a spatial, three-dimensional impression
  • Supports 15 targets at the same time!
  • Support for easier analyses and diagnoses in medical 3D imaging
  • More precise visualization of patient-specific anatomy
  • Much easier and more accurate data preparation for medical 3D object printing
  • Four (4) different tracking protocols are supported: VRPN / Dtrack / trackd / native implementation of the PS-Tech SDK in C ++
  • Calibration free user interaction tracker

3D PluraView compatible medical software applications

There is a PluraView solution for medical 3D spatial data visualization, especially DICOM, no matter how demanding the requirements and applications of today’s high-tech medical industry are! The innovative 3D PluraView passive-stereo monitor family from Schneider Digital is designed for special use with a host of medical applications, e.g. in surgery planning, 3D computer tomography, in anatomical 3D imaging (X-ray, CT, MRI), colorized model building for 3D printing, or the analysis of ultrasound visual medical data. The monitors are suitable for any 3D stereo-capable software application in the medical sector, including 3D Systems VSP, Brainlab’s Stereotaxy, Pie Medical’s 3mensio products, Forsina, Vesalius3D, VERT, Healthineer’s syngo.foursight or syngo.Via to name but a few.
