Trust aims to become more compassionate and inclusive workplace

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust has launched its Compassion in Action Programme in a bid to become a more compassionate and inclusive workplace.

The programme is available for all staff to learn more about equality, diversity, inclusion, respect and self-compassion.

At a launch event at the Resource Centre in Fulbourn, keynote speaker Claudia Iton, chief people officer for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Care Board talked about the importance of compassion for colleagues, patients and their families.

Neema Young, leadership and organisational development practitioner (EDI Lead) said: “Compassion in Action is for all staff and at all levels. It builds on the Trust’s ambition to build a more compassionate and inclusive workplace by improving self-awareness, emotional intelligence and the confidence to better support colleagues and manage teams. It was great to see so many people at the launch event and I’m urging as many staff as possible to sign up."
